MEMBERSHIP

How do your memberships, classes, and activities work?

  • The mission of Blue Endeavors is to create research divers, ocean explorers, citizen scientists, and ocean conservationists. By joining as a member, you get unlimited access to all of our classes and activities, and more importantly, you become part of a network of individuals deeply committed to the health and welfare of our oceans and their inhabitants.

I just want to get scuba certified, do I have to join?

  • Because Blue Endeavors is membership-based, you will need to become a member to get certified, but you will find it is a very economical option compared to the market rate for scuba classes.  Since you can cancel your membership at any time, you may do so after receiving your certification.  Of course, our hope is that you love Blue Endeavors' offerings and choose to continue to be a part of our community.

What if I take all the classes and buy all my equipment?

  • Our valued members who complete all of our classes and purchase all their gear from us may continue their dive membership for the non-diver rate.

Do I have to complete all sections of a class or event at the same time ?

  • No.  The great thing about Blue Endeavors' membership is that you can attend lectures, complete coursework, and participate in dives when it is convenient for you, even if you have not completed all of the components of the course.  For example, you'd like to dive with a friend participating in a nitrox dive, but you haven't had time to complete the nitrox class or attend a lecture.  Does this mean you can't dive?  Absolutely not!  Come along and just dive air rather than mixed gas.  Because membership allows you access to all of our courses, dives, and lectures, you can simply come along on the next nitrox dive.  Some dives do have prerequisites, so be sure to ask or sign up in advance if you have any questions.
